In a world that feels perpetually in motion—reshaped by time, memory, and the shifting rhythms of nature—these three artists remind us that grace endures in the quiet, unguarded moments. Only the Landscape Has Changed brings together the lyrical visions of Pentti Sammallahti, Chico Seay, and Wesley Stringer, each attuned to the poetry of the everyday and the subtle traces of human presence upon the earth.
Sammallahti’s photographs, timeless in their restraint and tenderness, suggest a world both vast and intimate—where a single bird in flight or a distant horizon becomes a meditation on solitude and belonging. Seay’s images, rooted in the Southern landscape, balance memory and immediacy, revealing the emotional terrain beneath the familiar. Stringer turns his lens toward the overlooked edges of contemporary life, finding grace in transience and a sense of order within the ordinary.
Though their geographies and generations differ, all three share a reverence for the world as it is—fleeting, imperfect, and achingly beautiful. Together, their work forms a quiet dialogue about time and transformation, reminding us that while the world around us may shift and fade, the act of seeing remains.
